Licenses usage¶
The Licenses usage module tracks how the number of licenses consumed simultaneously on the platform evolves over time. It is aimed at an administrator who wants to follow the license load over a period, measure usage peaks or anticipate a need for extra capacity.
The screen is titled Number of used licenses on one day over the period. It combines a summary table and a time chart, both fed by the date filters.
Period filters¶
The Filters panel is collapsed by default. It carries two fields.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Starting date | Lower bound of the interval. Five days before the current date by default. Formatted DD/MM/YYYY, and cannot be later than the current date. |
| Ending date | Upper bound of the interval. Current date by default. Can be neither earlier than the starting date nor later than the current date; entering a later starting date shifts the ending date accordingly. |
The Display button runs the query and updates the table and the chart. The Reset button restores the bounds to their default values and replays the query.
Summary table¶
The table above the chart summarises the daily license usage over the requested range.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Average | Daily average number of licenses consumed simultaneously over the period, rounded to two decimals. |
| Maximum | Daily maximum number of licenses consumed simultaneously over the period. |
Chart¶
The chart carries the dates on the horizontal axis and the number of consumed licenses on the vertical one. The upper bound of that axis automatically adjusts to the maximum observed over the period.
Hovering a point displays a tooltip giving the date and the number of licenses consumed on that date, as License (...).
