Comments

The Comments module lets the administrator attach textual annotations to a recorded session (live or archived). It is used to trace an investigation, document an incident, or enrich a video with notes for other administrators.

The module is not reachable on its own: it opens from the Control Center module through the Comments button found:

  • in the Live streaming or Archives toolbar after a session is selected;
  • in the detail window of a session (live or archived).

Comment list

The main window shows the paginated list (15, 25 or 50 rows) of comments tied to the current session. A search field in the toolbar filters the list on the fly (triggered 700 ms after the last keystroke or immediately with Enter).

Column Description
Date Last update timestamp, formatted dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss followed by the time zone. The cell carries a vertical colored stripe according to the comment type.
Author Account that authored the comment.
Type Comment category (see table below). Type-specific extra data is shown in italics beneath the label — the guest address, for instance.
Comment Entered text.
Displayed type Stripe color Origin
Admin comment orange Entered manually from this window. This is the default type.
User invite comment blue Created when a guest is invited to a shared session; the extra data carries the guest e-mail address.

User initial comment green Comment entered by the user when starting the session, carried over from their access request.

Add a comment

Click the + button in the toolbar (tooltip Add). The Add comment window opens. Type the comment in the Comment field and click Validate.

Field Description
Comment Free-text area. No length cap or forbidden-character check is enforced on the form.

Edit a comment

Select a comment in the list and click the Properties icon, or double-click the row. The Edit comment window opens pre-filled with the existing content. Enter the changes and validate. The button is enabled only when exactly one row is selected.

Delete a comment

Select one or more comments (multi-selection is supported) and click ×. A confirmation is requested — the message adapts to singular vs plural.
