Languages

The Languages module lets an administrator set the display language of Bastion for the administration portal and the user portal. Two strategies are available: apply a single language to every access, or assign a specific language per access type.

The module presents a single screen, built around two mutually exclusive radio options.

Default Language

The Default Language option applies the same language to every access. Two languages are offered, each on a clickable row preceded by its flag: English and Français.

Clicking the desired row selects it — a green check appears next to it. That click also switches the screen back to this option: the block of section Language by access type is then disabled. Then click Validate to save.

Language by access type

The Language by access type option assigns a different language to each interface. Selecting it enables the configuration block below.

Field Description
Administration Portal Language of the administration console. Choices: Browser Language Settings, English, Français.
Presentation Portal Language of the user portal. Choices: Browser Language Settings, Deutsch, English, Español, Svenska, Français.
Default language in case of non matching Fallback language applied when the user's browser language matches no available language. It can only be enabled if at least one of the two fields above is set to Browser Language Settings. Choices: English, Français.

Click Validate to save.

Page reload

After a save that changes a language, a dialog asks Do you want to refresh the page so that the language change can take effect? Answering yes reloads the console.
